With hundreds of other industry specific modules created by partners to meet your needs. The Users and modules offered affect the monthly cost of the software. Modules can be added to suit. Odoo Partners like InterAcct can help you navigate the options so that you understand what is available on offer and the true potential of the software.
The software can run on 3 different options.
- Hosted Standard
- Hosted flexible (referred to as SH)
- Locally hosted
Odoo is accessed through a web browser, which allows it to be run from many different platforms. Being a SAAS application it is easy to scale as your business grows to make sure that you are not left behind.
Just like InterAcct Software we can perform an Online demonstration of the features of the Odoo system and how it might apply to your business.
Odoo will be opening their Australia office in early 2024 and we look forward to working with them.

The first step if you are interested in the Odoo system, would be us discussing your needs and working with you to get a time/cost estimate for your Odoo install. You can get a fair idea of this from the Odoo website but some people prefer to talk to a partner to get a better idea of the depth and usage of each module, and an estimate on any assistance that you might need.
If we look to be a reasonable fit and the videos above show that the basics of the software will meet your needs, we can organise a time for an online one on one sales demonstration of the software to answer any remaining questions you may have for the software.
From here you can sign up for the software or even a free trial of the system. A free trial normally runs for 14 days with full access to any elements of the system that might be of interest. We can install default data if you just want to have a “play” with the system, or if you want to commit to importing more realistic data we can help with that too.
At the end of the 14 days you can sign up for month by month payments of the system or commit to longer time periods if you want a discount. We can work this through with you.
Many companies have limited experience with setting up business software, they have limited free time and want to make the most of that time to get through their to do list. Having a Partner like InterAcct can help you maximise your time and ensure that you are running live as quickly as possible.
For companies looking to setup Odoo in Sydney or wish to travel from Interstate, we can provide services face to face in our offices, or we are happy to travel to your office if you prefer. Other people prefer to have training and support online, this is also fine.
What is an ERP package?
What is Odoo ERP? ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning. And ERP software helps you with total business functionality control.
Elements of an ERP package normally include Accounting, Financial Reporting, Customer Relationship management and sales functions. Also functions related to job costing, Inventory control and Bookings/Scheduling are common to many ERP packages.
The advantage of and ERP package over a collection of software packages is that data flows from one element of the software to the next. So we don’t have to have multiple sets of the same data like Clients or contacts. Duplication of this data can lead to synchronisation issues and errors/confusion.
Why do you sell Odoo and your Software?
Traditionally it has just been our own software and the services to help make the most out of that system. Since the early 80’s we have worked to make our system cover a broad collection of companies. We have been helped our clients with other applications that are targeted slightly differently. One of these applications is Odoo.
Odoo is closely aligned with InterAcct. Odoo has flexible framework, and a modular structure, so that you only get what you need. They have many partners the world over that add to the options available to the system. As well as 24 hour support for their software.
When Job costing is not required or the number of users is likely to be higher than 60, Odoo meets a company needs better than InterAcct.
We have now developed our our “InterAcct Job Costing for Odoo” which should allow Odoo to take control of jobs cost and analysis.
InterAcct can bring our knowledge of Australian business and software design to your implementation of Odoo.
When you are looking for software that meets your needs without breaking the budget, InterAcct software is great. InterAcct has plenty of optional modules to handle many different types of businesses and flexible enough to adapt if your needs are not standard and able to be met “Out of the Box.”
Saying that, it’s not always the perfect package for every company. There is software out there designed for bigger and smaller companies that might better meet your needs. Most of our clients have around 5-10 Users of the software. So that normally translates to 10 Office staff, some are smaller and bigger than this. From single user Start ups working from the garage to larger companies with 40-60 office staff supporting 3-5 times that in the field/factory.
